Walk in the Centennial Parade with Meadows

Interested in Walking in the Manhattan Beach Centennial Parade with Meadows? Let's show some Mustang pride Meadows families! Please join us to walk in the Centennial Parade on Saturday, May 19th at 10:00 am. We will have a decorated car carrying our very own "Stang" and a large banner for others to carry. Wear your Meadows shirts and come join the fun.

All participants must be at least eight years old and must sign a "Special Event Waiver and Release of Liability" The waiver must be signed and returned to the office no later than Wednesday, May 16th. Each individual in the parade must also sign the entry list in the Meadows office.  Click here to download and print the Waiver.

The parade route is one way from Pacific school to Polliwog Park. There is a drop off location at the East side of Pacific and 17th Street. Our float will be staged at Pacific School on Manhattan Beach Blvd. just a bit West of John Street. Please meet there between 9:00-9:30. If parents are not walking with their child, please plan to meet them at the Historical Society House immediately following the parade.

Mom's Night Out!

Raise a Glass to Moms! Ladies, join us for a night of relaxation on the patio of Salt Creek Grille in El Segundo on Tuesday May 22 from 7-10pm. This night is to reward yourself for all you do as a mother. All ladies are welcome so grab a friend and come on down. Win a Pizza Party from CPK!

Win A Pizza Party For Your Class!! Our next restaurant fundraiser will be at California Pizza Kitchen on Wednesday, May 30th. A portion of the day's proceeds will be donated to Meadows Elementary. CPK is holding a contest - the classroom that brings in the most money will have pizzas delivered to their class for an end of the year pizza party! Write your teacher's name on the flyer (or two teachers if you want the amount split between two classes) to receive credit. Remember, the fundraiser is from opening until closing! School Supply Packs for 2012-2013

School Supply Kits are now on sale online from May 1st-May 31st!! Get a jump start on the next school year by ordering your school supply kits now! All the contents of the kits were handpicked by the Meadows teachers with the supplies your student needs for his/her class next year. This service is provided by the PTA to make back to school shopping easy for parents and to help the teachers equip the students with the supplies they will need.

Kits can be ordered ONLINE ONLY at www.ordermypack.com after May 1st. You will need to enter school number 116016 to access the kits by grade. (Please be sure to order NEXT years grade.) All kits will be shipped to school prior to the new school year.

If you have an incoming Meadows Second grader, the second grade team opted to provide a "Teacher Provided" Kit instead. The order form for that kit can be found here. Please make out checks to Meadows PTA.

Mira Costa Cheer Camp, July 16 -20

Hosted by the nationally-ranked Mira Costa Pep Squad, your 1st – 5th grader can enjoy a week of cheers, dances, basic tumbling and stunting on July 16 – 20 at Mira Costa High School.
