- Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of
California, San Diego
- Received my Teaching Credential and a Master’s degree in Education
while living in San Diego
- Taught for 7 years in the Poway Unified School District in San Diego
(3 years in 3rd grade and 4 years in 2nd)
- This is my 8th year at Meadows: 2 years in Reading Club, 1 year in
2nd grade, and this is my 5th year in 3rd grade
Personal Background
I was born and raised in Manhattan Beach. Believe it or not, I went to
Meadows myself! I’ve been happily married for 18 years, and I have two
wonderful daughters, ages 14 and 11, who are in the 9th grade and 6th grade,
respectively. A couple of years ago we added a black lab, CJ, to our family.
He’s so cute (except when he’s chewing something he’s not supposed to)!
Some of my favorite things to do are:
- Swim with my family
- Bike ride with my daughters and husband
- Run with CJ, our dog
- Swing (you’re never too old for this!)
- Travel anywhere and everywhere!
