Homework Information

The children will receive a weekly homework packet every Monday to be turned in on Friday. Thispacket will include language arts and phonics sheets related to the story of the week. It will also include phonics activities based on our Open Court Phonics and Spelling Program.

The children will receive a separate nightly math homework sheet. It will review the math concept taught in class that day. I will collect these sheets every morning.

Each month your child will receive a monthly "nightly reading slip." On this slip please write the date and title of each book read at home. I will collect these sheets at the end of each month.

Remember to have a positive, supportive attitude when working with your child on homework. Always praise your child for all efforts made on assignments. It is important to make sure that the children are enjoying the homework. If a frustration level is reached, please take a break.

Have fun together!
