Meadows PTA

Approximately 96% of parents join the PTA. Parents volunteer more than 15,000 hours in the classroom and for various programs PTA pays for “stuff” with ~$180-200k annual operating budget: classroom and office supplies, computers, science lab, musical instruments, art supplies, campus improvements and more Meadows PTA conducts both programs and fundraisers. Our programs, like Movie Night and the Halloween Carnival, are intended for enrichment and community building and they’re priced to cover their own expenses. Our fundraisers raise money for various classroom activities, equipment and supplies needed throughout the year. Our key fundraisers are Parent Party, Mustang Trot, Scrip and Innisbrook (wrapping paper). Without PTA we wouldn’t have the THINGS Meadows’ kids need!

MBUSD Funding 101

MBUSD ranks 5th in the state – most superior districts benefit from additional funding through parcel taxes or other mandatory local revenue.

Our children’s top-quality education is not possible without private funding. Districts throughout California – which ranks LAST in per-pupil spending - must supplement their schools with private donations. We can bridge the gap at a fraction of the cost of area private schools and preschools.

MB home values remain very high – in large part because of our superior school district.
